Alles, Frank Alson (Died)

Frank Alles, 93, 1614 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, died Jul 30 at his home. Services will be held August 2 from St. Joseph's church. He had been ill for 14 years before his death. Mr. Alles, last surviving member of the Grand Army of the Republic in Wilmette, was born and raised in Winnetka and had lived on the North Shore all his life. He served for a year and 10 months in the 39th Illinois infantry during the Civil war. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Helen Fischer, Mrs. Anna Meyerhoff, and Mary Alles, and a son, George Alles.
