- Anna Haas, 20, accused of retail theft, refused an offer to be sent to a home for girls, and defied Judge Boyer to bind her over to the grand jury on a larceny charge. Miss Edith Reider and Miss June Woods, probabation officers, and Police matron Mary F. Carney, tried to persuade the girl to accept mediation.
