- Merit Bagde Examinations Passed and Officers and Leaders SelectedActivity in the Boy Scouts of Wilmette is continuous and enthusiastic. Merit badge examinations have been passed recently by the following scouts in the subjects as given, and certificates have been forwarded to national headquarters for approval; Miner Coburn, firemanship and mining; Warner Gates, firemanship and bugling; Bertram Hammond, public health, first aid, athletics, mining, cycling and firemanship; Leroy Hammond, first aid, public health, gardening, mining, swimming and firemanship; wilkie Kleinpell, firemanship, mining and poultry farming; Hugh Paterson, automobiling, firemanship and forestry; Kingsley Rice, mining; Shelby Singleton, mining, cycling and camping; Clarence Wolf, cycling; Erwin Wolf, mining. Elections and apointments in the council and in the two troops have recently been made, at the end of the scout year, as follows: Council officers: President, Mr. B. Frank Brown; vice-president, Mr. W. E. Kleinpell: secretary, Mr. M. L. Paterson; treasurer, Mr. J. R. Harper; executive committee, the council officers, with Mr. C. C. Cameron and Mr. G. S. Hammond. Appointments in the First troop: Patrol leader of the Stags, Hugh Paterson; assistant, Leroy Hammond. In the Hounds, patrol leader, Miner Coburn; assistant, Earl Skelton. In the Wolves, patrol leader, Merriman Hess; assistant, Arthur Kurst; assistant scoutmasters, Alfred Schmidt, William Kleinpell. Past patrol leaders, Shelby Singleton, Bruce Brown. Appointments in the Second troop: For the Flying Eagles, patrol leader, Allen Cameron; assistant, Frank Psenicks. In the Black Bears, patrol leader, Harvey Hopp; assistant, Alfred Watt. In the Beavers, patrol leader, Allen Northam; assistant, Bertram Hammond. In the Buffaloes, patrol leader, James Paterson; assistant, Clarence Wolf. Assistant scoutmasters, Erwin Wolf, Mr. Loounsbury. Past patron leader, Richard Hopp.
