- A meeting led by the Evanston City Council joint judiciary and railroad committees was joined by members of the North End Improvement Association, the Sherman Avenue Improvement Association and the Evanston Commercial Association to discuss the proposition to vote on the adoption of the Mueller Law Monday night. The Mueller Law if passed would empower the city council to grant a franchise to the County Traction Company to operate street cars on Chicago Ave. and Sherman Ave. without securing frontage consents.
