Bertra, Arnold, age 16, and son of Harry B. Arnold, who resides at 812 Oakton avenue, Wilmette, was killed by a Chicago & Milwaukee electric car yesterday afternoon at the New Trier station. Young Arnold, with a number of other Wilmette students who attend New Trier High School, were waiting in the station for a south bound car. A whistle was heard, and thinking it was a car for Wilmette, Arnold walked out of the station, started across the tracks and wa struck by the car going north. His companions could render not assistance, and the boy was killed almost instantly. His father is engaged in the wholesale tobacco business in Chicago. He was a fourth year student in high school, and was a bright and promising young fellow.
