Pneumonia proves fatal to Halfton Emil Holmes

Halfton Emil Holmes, 915 Lake Avenue, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 26, at his home, a victim, of pneumonia. Services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home, Rev. George P. Magill, officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park. Mr. Holmes has been a resident of the village for several years. He was prominent in the wholesale furniture field. He was a trustee of the Wilmette Presbyterian church and active in Ouilmette Country club circles. Surviving are the widow, daughter, Eloise, and a son, Richard.
