Mrs. John Burwell entertained twelve guests Saturday at her country home in Waukegan [unclear] in honor of the [unclear] birthday of Mr. Calvin Wilson, formerly of Wilmette. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rogers and Miss Georgiane Rogers were guests from Wilmette.

Mr. Frank A. Brown has issued invitations for a dancing party in honor of his daughter, Miss Dorothy Brown, to be given at the Ouilmette Country Club, Friday evening, May 8 at 9 o'clock.

The "Soiree de Danse" given by the pupils of Miss Dorothy Collier at the Ouilmette Country Club Saturdday evening was a decided success. The program being greatly appreciated by an enthusiastic audience, which more than filled the auditorium, a number of people being forced to stand. After the program the hall was cleared and the [unclear] given an opportunity to exhibit its skill in social dancing.

Mrs. Harry W. Miller, [unclear] Ninth street, entertained the Neighborhood circle Friday afternoon.

Mrs. N. S. Betts, 729 Ninth street, entertained several friends from Chicago at a luncheon Thursday afternoon.

The "Round Robin" of the Ouilmette Country Club gave the last dance of the season Monday night. Mrs. Frank Baker and Mrs. W. [William] O. Beit were hostesses.

The last of the progressive dinners which have been given by members of the Bridge club during the winter was held Saturday evening. A number of guests enjoyed the hospitality in [illegible]. Augomobiles were used to convey the guests from one home to the other. The followig is the list of homes in the order in which they were visited and where [illegible] in rotation: Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bogle, 467 [unclear] Central avenue; Mr. Buckman, 726 Laurel avenue; James Tutnock, Monroe street, Evanston; Fred R. Horton, 840 Elmwood avenue, Evanston and Thomas North, Edgewater.
