- Two main lines of transportation connect Chicago tiwh North shore points. They include the Chicago & North-Western railway and the Northwesern Elevated Railroad. In addition there is a surface line between the city and Evanston and also the Chicago & Milwaukee Electric which gives quick communication between Evanston and Milwaukee.
