- Virginia Hoar Gathercoal of Boynton Beach, Fla. [Florida], for the past 26 years, died Feb. 9, 1993. Mrs. Gathercoal was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Hoar. In addition to her husband, Joseph D. Gathercoal, survivors include her sister, Betty; her sons Thomas and Richard; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Private services were held in Florida on Feb. 12, 1993.
