Nothing has ever equaled it on the screen. It is the “grand opera” of moving pictures. It was shown for weeks at the Illinois Theatre in Chicago, and $2.00 houses all over the country. Unquestionably it is the world’s biggest picture an overwhelming combination of startling surprises; gorgeous and magnificent, surpassing all expectations. Over 7,000 actors, 20 elephants, hundreds of horses, 14 months’ work, and more than $250,000 entered into the production. There are miracles of divine revelation, and the spectator wonders breathlessly what more on earth or in the air can be done with such superb masculinity and truth. There are wonderful interiors, exquisite marvels, luxuriance; there are masses and masses; there are roaring fires, spouting volcanos, slave mastodons and mighty feats of strength. It is stupendous in detail and in ensemble! D’Annunzio is in his element and one marvels at his masterwork. Everyone must see this masterpiece -- many will want to see it a second time! Notice that it will be presented at the Village Theatre on two days, Friday and Saturday, April 9th and 10th. There will be a matinee both on Friday and Saturday at 2:30; evening shows at 8 o’clock. On account of the length there will be but one performance at both matinee and evening. Doors open at 2:00 and 7:30. Come early. Prices: Matinee, children 15c; adults 25c. Evening, all seats 25c.
