The Village Movie Published Weekly by the VILLAGE THEATRE COMPANY, Wilmette, Ill. M. L. SPARR, Editor For Advertising Space apply to THE PRINTING STUDIO, Wilmette, Ill.. Volume 1 Wilmette, Illinois, November 21, 1914 Number 17 European War Pictures at the Wilmette At considerable expense we have arranged to show Weigle's Tribune War Pictures on Friday. These are now being shown to enormous crowds at the Studebaker with an admission charge of 25 cents. We were especially fortunate in obtaining the pictures at such an early date and you will be saved the inconvenience, annoyance and expense of going to the city to see them, and best of all our admission charge will be but 20 cents for adults and 10 cents for children. There will be a special matinee at 3.30, and those who can, are urged to attend it for greater comfort. One-half the net receipts obtained from these pictures go to the Belgian Red Cross Fund so you will be doing an act of charity and witnessing a most thrilling performance. Music at the Village Because of the many expressions of appreciation of the music rendered at the Village Theatre, and the many inquiries regarding the organist, we are pleased to advise our friends that Prof. H. Monnet always presides at the organ, and it is due to his splendid interpretation that the pictures are "played" so perfectly. Although Prof. Monnet is very young, he has devoted all the time possible to the development of this talent, having studied under Prof. Wild for some time. Unlike many other organists, he has not only mastered the classics, but he gives us the better class of popular music as well. He has kindly consented to devote Wednesday evening to playing "requests," and no doubt there are many music lovers among us who will be glad to take advantage of this. It is very difficult to follow the pictures as he does, and we all appreciate his excellent dramatization of the photoplays. The music is delightful, enchanting, irresistible. If you haven't been coming to see the pictures, come some Wednesday to hear the music, and request your favorite piece. You will be well repaid. Economical Holiday Entertainment Matinee Thanksgiving Day at both Wilmette and Village Theatres, beginning at 3:30. And three shows at each theatre in the evening, beginning at 7:00. Plenty of time to have that big turkey dinner, get out for some good fresh air, and then see both shows. "Children's Night" at the Wilmette Theatre—Every Friday Night—Three shows, the first beginning at 7:00 o'clock.
