- Description
- Interview with Barbara Tobin by Ellen Price in Wilmette, Illinois, on August 19, 2022. Barbara shares the story of her great-grandmother, Nettie Esther Tobin. Nettie, a seamstress and devoted Bahai, played a significant role in the construction of the Bahai House of Worship. In 1908, Nettie felt compelled to obtain a stone for the temple's construction. This stone, dedicated by Abdul Baha in 1912, symbolizes the Bahai community's unity and dedication to building the first Bahai House of Worship in the Western Hemisphere.
