L. "Duke" Childs,' director of athletics. Football Players Join Squad Several l)oys whlo have been playing football repurted to the heavyweight squad this wvcek. 'rhese boys,- Fred Klaner, George Laing, Dick Camp- bell, Bill Snyder, Phi Dostal and George Green, were barred f rom basketball practice until after the close of the football season last Saturday. AIl members of last year's heavy- %veight teain, whiclh finished second in the Suburban league, were lost hy graduation. Despite this fact Coach Grater is hopeful of developing a win- ning teain this year. Don Anderson Captamn Don Anderson, a guard, who wvas a nieinler of the second string last year. is captain of the teain. Another second string man of last year, Howard Bail, a forward, is a likely candidate for a regular place on the teain. In the early season practices Coach Grater lias been uising Bail and Eddie Mee at the for- ward positions, -Bud- Fisher at center, and Don Aniderson and Grant Adamns as guards.
