The camp was opened No- vember 1, and will be continued for five and a haif months, giv- ing shelter, instruction, and phqysical and spiritual rehabilita- tion to forty undernourished boys between the ages of 14 and 17 years. In more prosperous years, the win. ter program was scbeduled for seven months, but owing to. decreased funds the Arden Sbore board bas haEl t o shorten 'the time, in order that each boy may receive bis full sbare of good food, and tbe supervision and belp to wblch bie is entitled. Arden Shore bas no regular clientele of its own but comes to tbe aid of other s ocial agencies. For tbe Winter camp, the boys are se- lected by the Cbild Guidance bureau of the Chicago Board of Education. The program includes ten hours of sleep nigbtly besides a one and a baîf bour rest period daily. Three good meals are furnished eacb day, and milk and crackers in mid-morning and mid-afternoon. There are three hours of school work and two bours of supervised play out of each twen- ty-four. Arden Shore bas an or- ganized troop of Scouts. A homelike atmosphere is maintained for the boys, wbere they learn courtesy and> cleanliness. Special programs are provided >Ân the evening-singing, 4 stunts, shows and group activities.
