An open bouse will lie held fromn 3 o'clock until 3 :30, at which time tbere will be a dedication cere- mony and flag raising. The new structure will lie dedicated. by the Rev. William D. O'Brien, auxiliary hishop of Chicago. Followilig the dedication ceremony tbere will lie a dinner in the basement of tbe new building, starting at 4 o'clock. It is expected that 1,000 per- sons will attend this dinner. The AI- vernia Higb school orchestra from Chicago will play during the dinner. The niew school, construction work on which was started last April, is Y-shaped, with the two arms each containing ten classrooms, two music roonts and rehearsal and practice rooms. The span of the arms of the "Y* is 232 feet. The stem of the -Y is 140 feet. In this stem is the audi- torium. with a seating capacity of 650. Octagonal Ciage RooniS One of the features of the cla'ss- rooms is that they have no hoxy effect. They are octagonal in shape. witb the corners cut off. This space is not wasted, however. for it forms modernized Gothic niches on thec exterior and allows octagon recesses; ini the corridors into which have been buiît specially dcsigned drinking fountains executed in ligbt green and black terrazza. There is a basement under the êt i- tire structure. This bas a seating capacity of 1,000 for banquets, and ohrfeatures, including a comnplet(- kitchen. 36 h)v 24 feet. a pantry and disb room and a large incinerator and fan ventilator. The incinerator bas chuites on each floor for waste paper and refuse. The entire building is fireproof. Tt was executed by the Chicago1 archi- tect, Herman Gaul. The Rev. J. A.
