The meetings are held in the First Congregational church at 7:-30 o'clock. Seven churches are united in the work of this club. No admission is charged. The. club is sustained by contributions of $io or Iess each year f rom a group of interested citizens and the -balance is made up in f re 1e-will offerings. Everyone, young and old, men and women, are invited to attend the outstanding programs of this club. New residents in the community are especially invited. NELJ.E TAYLOE Ross, director of the United States 'Mint, former Go'vernor of Wyoming and the first woman governor to be elected in the -United States, will speak on "The Drama of Government-the Backstage Story of Washington."> Governor Ross so directed the affairs of the State of Wyomning that she achieved nation-ivide reputation. As her two-terni of office drew to a close, she issued a challenge to ber opponents "'to point out a single act of mine wherein 1 have failed because 1 an a wornan, and wherein a man would have succeeded because he is a man." That challenge wvas never met. Mrs. Ross is an excellent speaker. S5unday, December 9th- JAMES SAWDERS, who spoke before this club two years ago on Cen tral Amierica -will speak this year on "The West Indies-and the Spanisb Main.", Mr. Sawders is one of the best knoivn authorities on this Iubject and illus- trates bis lecture -vith beautif ul moving pictures -made by bimself.
