Once a week the association sends to police chiefs a bulletin containing mat- ters of . information important to the police. It hopes to make this bulletin Serve as a complete source of informa- tion for police departments so that every suburban department will be fullY ini- formed as to what is happening, throughout the county. Local police departmnents ini turn are asked to cooperate with the association by sending to its headciuarters at 409 Madison street, «Maywoo(l, information as to such occurences in the municipality as mav be of interest to others. This shouîd include .descriptions of lost, stolen, or recovered property; descrip- tions of persons wanted ; and, a state- ment as to any new type of robbery or other crimes committed, it is explained. Dr. Wash- burne has covered the subject in -his recentîy published book of the samne title, which reviews rnany of the edu- cational systems now employed in European countries. In choosing Dr. * Washburne for this meeting, the * P. T. A. officers felt that they were offcring a real attraction to the fath- ers, and hope that thev will attend in large numbers on this, the first Fath- ens' Night of the year. The dance classes, under Miss Alice Stade, are enïoying increasing popu- *larity. The registration this year shows an increase of about 50 per cent over that of last year, which speaks well for Miss Stade's wonk and for the tireless efforts of Mrs. R. D. Oilar, dance chairman, and Mrs. Hen- ry Drucker, her assistant. Most of her last year's pupils are still with Miss Stade, and thene are, of course, many beginners. Matot, oi 250 Linden avenue, returned last Mon- day from a fortnight's trip in the east. They spent several days in New York City before sailing on a week's cruise to Bermuda.
