The present contracts bear 90-day cancellation clauses. The new contracts also have such a clause. Under the new uniform contract customers will be charged the regular rates for water used for domestic pur- poses only. In addition, there will be a $48 per year ire hydrant fee, and in case water is drawn f rom the hydrant for fighting a fire the customer wiIl be billed for the amount of water used. A lew years ago when the Miralago b)uilding in No Man's land burned, the Village of Kenilworth made'itself the target of a suit by forbidding the Evanston Fire department to tap a Kenilworth fire hydrant in order to get water to fight the flames. "No Man's Land" has no water supply of its own. The owners of the Miralago building sued the village for damages and the suit is still pending. The new uniform contract off ered to water users in the unincorporated area is explicit in setting forth that under no circunistances shaîl the village be liable to damage for failure to supply sufficient water for ire fighting pur- poses. The contract specifies that the water requirements of the village it- self shail be met first. One of the trustees, Richard C. Johnston, was of the opinion that the village shouldflot sell any water out- side its limits, and the motion to cani- cel the old contracts and offer new contracts to water users in the unin- corporated "No Man's Land" area wvas passed over his objections. Miss Virginia Johnston, daughter of the Richard C. Johnstons, 321 Mel- rose avenue, Kenilworth, who is a freshman at the University of Illinois,, has been pledged to Delta Gamma sorority. The dance i.j a sub!le and clever over-the-shoulder grimace at the old.school of elocution, for ini il Miss Enters runs the gamnut of <moetion front dire trafiedy to fluttcring t'cstasy,, as experienced by ait over-traincd and too-conscaolis adolescent. One of the great pleasureý of seeing such a "composition" as the Delsarte is that Miss 'Enters -uses such economy in gesture and movement, putting across exactly what she wills with extra- o rdinary condensation. In such a nui- ber as the Delsarte, she -surrounds her" self with the whole absurd aura of the old fashioned. school of flowing chiffon and'simpering superficiality. Her audi- ences are always quick to share her mood and appreciaie its essence. Tickets for' reserved and unieserved seats are on sale at ]Renneckar's Drug store in Wilmette; Community House, Winnetka , and Hillman's D.rug store, Gjencoe.. Mrs. E.. Sawyer Smith, chair- man of the ticket committee for the Glencoe Girl Scouts, is selecting a coni- mittee of mothers of Glencoe Scouts to conduct a vigorous ticket campaign. Proceeds f rom the benefit will go to make up the quota sent yearly by the Glencoe Girl Scouts to the New Trier Girl, Scout council. The concert on October 26 is under the direction of Rutheda L. Pretzel. The Harry Weese' f amily, 141 Kenilworth avenue, returned Sunday from a threeo months' vacation at their summer home in Barrington.
