Out of the even boats wbich stanted the race in a heavy squall, only six were able to finish. Max Hayford's "Twinkle Ditto" was first. "Fnam" sailed by Wesley Bowman was second, and "Walrus" with Charles Pajeau at the tiller was third. Tbe other boats finisbing were "Pegasus," "Carol" and "Blue Mist" in that order. Oneý unfortunate accident resulted in 'Tom Waage's "Neo" losing its mast, the second time this season, when Charles Knight's "Ali Baba', nammed into the shnouds,. causing the miast to snap off. "Ali Baba" was also disabled. Bob Kendig's "Silver Spray" broke a spneaden when near the finish Iine and Harold 'Reeve in "Gliden" lost a backstay and was un- able to finish. Tom Wolfe's "Aquilla" also encountered difficulty and did not finish.
