In 1865, the year ghe was married, Mrs. .Smith moved with ber husband, the late Jacob Smiith, to- Winneta They built. a home at the nortbeast corner ýof. Willow road and Ridge avenue. Mr. Smith died about forty- five years'ago. Mrs. Smith bas lived in Winnetka continuously since 1865. Peter Conrad, the oldest mani resi- dent o9f Winnetka in point of yýear.- of continuous residence, was born ini bier home that, year and on bier birth- daAugust .6. Mrs. -Smith is survived by seveil *cbildren, sixteen grandcbildren n * five great grandchildren. Ail of the, survivora. live in Winnetk-a or Wil- mette. Mrs. Smitb took an active part ini tbe organization of the Sacred Heart parish in Hubbard Woods. For many years she had been an active worker in the 'Sacred Heart cburch.
