Powell, Howard S., Jr. (Died)

Howard S. Powell Jr., 44,of Chesterfield, Mo., son of Wilmette residents, died Feb. 2 at Mercy Hospital, Chicago. Mr. Powell was divisional traffic manager of the Monsanto Co. in St. Louis. His father, Howard S. Powell, Sr., is the retired director and vice president of the Illinois Central Railroad Co. Also surviving are his wife, Eileen Whiting Powell; his mother, Geneva; a daughter, Jayleen; a son, Howard S. III; and three brothers, William L. of Winnetka, Robert E. of Barrington, and Lt. Charles A., serving in the Army. Memorial services were held Wednesday at St., Augustine Episcopal Church in Wilmette. Burial was at Memorial Park, Skokie.
