Herman G. Vance, [damaged] of [damaged] Park Av., Wilmette, died Dec. [damaged] at Evanston Hospital. Born in Canada, he was a Wilmette resident for [damaged] years. He served as a Wilmette policeman from [damaged] and as a park policeman from [damaged]. He was also employed by the Chicago Northwestern Railway as a fireman for [damaged] years. Surviving are his widow, Pearl V.; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl [damaged] of Mt. Prospect; a son, Donald [damaged] of Skokie; and nine grandchildren. Services were held Dec. [damaged] at Scott Funeral Chapel, Wilmette, by the Rev. Galen E. Russell of St. John's United Church of Christ, Evanston. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
