Twelve teams are entered · in this tournament - Des Plaines, Arlington Heights, Waukegan, Lake Zurich, Richmond, Barrington, Libertyville, Gurnee New Trier, Palatine, Wauconda . and Antioch. New Trier, Waukegan, Des · Plaines and Antioch, which won the . Northwestern conference tournament, on January 31 and February 1, are considered the strongest teams. The first round drawings were made recently, .and New Trier is scheduled to meet \Varren Township High school of Gurnee in the opening round. Other · first round matches will be as follows: Arlington Heights vs. Waukegan ; Richmond vs. Barrington, and Wauconda vs. Antioch. Four teams, Des Plaines, Lake Zurich, Libertyville and Palatine, drew byes in the opening round. If New Trier defeats Gurnee in the first round, it will meet Libertyville in the second. By disposing of both Gurnee and Libertyville, New Trier would meet Palatine, Wauconda or Antioch in the semi-finals. The tournament will not be divided into heavyweight and lightweight classes, and each school will enter only one team.
