M allinckrodt News Junior Auxiliary Members Will Hear "Modern Art" Talk On Thursday evening, }v!arch 6, Miss Clara MacGowan, assistant professor of the art department of Northwestern university, will speak at the meeting of the Junior auxiliary of the Woman's club of \Vilmette. Her subject will be "Interpretations of Modern Art," in which she will sketch, particularly, Impressionism~ Post-lmpressi~nism, Cubism Futurism and Dadatsm, movemer;ts of modern art. She will mention artists outstanding in these fields and also artists of the French school, and will bring prints for illustration. Mis s MacGowan spent last summer traveling and studying in Europe and in her informal talk will include material gathered while on this trip. Th e senior and the junior teams met on the floor. Until the fourth quarter it was difficult to determine the victors. Th e game closed with a score of 15-10 in fav or of the juniors. The Students' Spiritual council met at the Providence High school for the general convention last Saturday. There were about a thousand student s present at this convention, among whom were delegates from Mallin : ckrodt High school. The Mallinckrodt Mothers' club is giving a card party next Friday at 2 P.
