Dr. Segsworth \vas horn in Toronto and was a graduate of thi University l)f Toronto medical school. He came to Wilmette in 1895 and has been a practicing physician here for thirtyFve years. Dr. Segsworth was instrumental in organizinrr the Wilmette Ph: v sicians' rluh. He was a charter member of tht> vVilmette Baptist church, a charter p1ember of the North Shore Golf club, ;;nd was one of the oldest members of tlte Guilmette Country club. At the · close of the mass meeting Tue d:1y night a motion was passed thanking the Citizens' Tax committee appointed at the previous mass meeting at the Howard school in \\'i]mette for its work on behalf of 1'\ew Trier taxpayers.
