' Famed Battle Cry Has Its Uses in Laundry Business "Carry on," famous battle cry of the British army, has its very definite application in civil pursuits as vividly demonstrated by the Nelson Laund.ry and Dry Cleaning System, Main street at Central avenue, Wilmette. An incident in point was that which occurred late last week when a large boiler in the Nelson plant gave way under the pressure of sustained usage, causing a temporary "shut down" of the entire industry. But that didn't last long. Immediately all the work at hand anJ the entire plant person~el was transferred to the Evanston plant of the company with the result that the laundry went to the customer on scheduled time. Moreover, mechanics were immediately put to work on the disabled boiler and. by toiling ceaselessly throu~h the night, had the Wilmette plant 111 functioning order the next day. Work has been in progress for several weeks on the in stallation of a new power sy~tem in the Wilmette vlant of the Kelson company. Christian Science Churches. "Sacrament" was the subject of 1he lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday, January 12. The golden text was, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him" (John 14:21). Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon was the following from the Bible: "Be ye not unequally yoked. together with unbeliev~ ers: for what fellowship hath rig:.teousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with datkness? '\Therefore come out frum among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (II Cor. 6:14, 17, 18). The lesson-sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "He who leave s all for Christ forsakes popularity and gains Christianity" (p. 238). The Junior and Senior classes of Roycemore school, Evanston, are giving their third format dance of the year at Shawnee Country club this evening. About sixty couples will be present. DRESSMAKING ..
