Schmitz, senior at Dar t t he second play in the senes bemg sponsored by the Literature committee of the Fine Arts department of the Highland Park Woman's club is to be presented Thursdav January 2, at 2:30 o'clock by the Good~ man theater players. The play will bc staged in the Elm Place school. This play is from Sir Walter Scott's novel, one of the classics in fiction literature, a romance of the da vs of chivalry when Richard the lion-liearted rode to the crusades. The fas~.-i nating talc has been made into a play by .Muriel Brown, and during- its run at the Goodman theater, in the Art in stitute, Chicago, it has proved an Jttraction of superlative value, delighting- both children and adults. The Goodman studio players have touched a high plane of artistic dramatic work, the cast being- especially capable and the presentation a brilliant one throughout, and their appearance in this .s eries is a di stinct achievement for the committee in charge. The Notre Dame team went through the season without losing a game and is generally considered to have the best claim for the .national championship. As the university is buildinss a new stadium, all the games were played away from home. It has been estirnateo that the team traveled well over six thousand miles. Many of Culver's \Vilmette friends saw him play in the game 3.ga!n_ :_ Korthwe ste rn at the Dyche Stadium and also in the game against Southern California at Soldier Field in Chicago.
