College Board Examinations Seventy-three boys, or 8.1 percent of the group have asked to be prepared to enter eastern colleges requiring college board entrance examinations. Sixteen of these seventy-three boys . are in the senior class. There are also fourteen girls among the seniors preparing for these examinations this year or next. Special classes and special drills are given these students to prepare them for the examinations. Past results have shown New Trier's preparation of this eastern college group to be very effective. Last year, only one student trying the examinations failed to pass. Two other girls passed but were placed on the waiting list because their grades were relatively low and because the colleges which they wished to enter had many. more applicants who had passed the examinations than they had places for them in their freshman classes. ·These girls may be admitted next year.
