Grade Separation V. ote A motion by Trustee Gord·(m' Wilson to the effect that the Villa~ President appoint a committee of three consisting of a member ·Of the . Wilmette board of trustees, the president of the Wilmette Plan commission, and the president of the Wilmette Chamber of .Commerce (or one representative from the plan commission and one from the Chamber appointed by the presi~ dents of the two organizations) to investigate and consider the matter of grade separation from the standpoint of Wilmette's interests and to report to the Village board, was voted down by that body in session Tuesday night after a heated disc ssion. Village President Earl E. Orner cast the deciding vote against the proposal, explaining that he felt a matter of this sort should remain entirely in the hands of the Village board. Other trustees voted as follows: for the motion, A. L. Grinnell, C. Miles McDonald, and Gordon Wilson; against the motion, Ernest E. Cazel, Stanton Vanlnwagen, and Hans vonReinsperg.
