May 10, 1929 Vaudeville Staged by Young People at ' Kenilworth club The Village "Daffy Dills!' in "Moments, Scenes, and Episodes" were presented at the Kenilworth club on Wednesday, May 1. The opening chorus composed of Loretta White Mary Lent, Janet Healy, Charlott~ Hamilton, Charlotte Moody, and Ruth Kneip sang "Making Whooppee," while the six collegians comprising Bill Yonkers, Fritz Heitman, John O'Connor, Chile Southward, Rich Granger and Bud Williams sang "If I Had You." Bob Berger and his four piece orchestra played a group of jazz numbers. The personnel of the band includes Tom Hildebrandt, pianist; Dan Killips, banjo player; Carleton Ross, banjo, and Fred Workman, drummer. Another ten piece orchestra composed of Marshall Ling, Robert J oslin, Bud Smith, Homer Flentye, Robert Martin, Arthur Mclntosch, Jr., William Kurtz, Leon Dickenson, Joe Rushton, and Lou Hubsch, Fred \Vaidner, conductor, played several popular numbers with the usual jazz pep and technique. Junie Poulsen, Bob Hill, and John O'Connor played a group of numbers on the piano, saxophone, and banjo, respectively. Other cleyer numbers were Peggy and Helen and Joe in "Just Themselves," a "Night in Hawaii" and a "Babe" Frazer spccialtv entitled "B e t t e r Than Lesser.;, Elmer E. Nygard, the Rev. Leland H. Danforth, Mr. Townley, Ur. Borgfeldt, Carleton Ross, and Burt E. Crowe took part in a little skit entitled "For Sale, A Live Boy at Public Auction." Numbers in the second p~ut oi the program · were: "Dance Little Lady. Da·nce," "Just Two Guys and a Lady," "The Rhythm Girls," "Bertha's, Inc.," and "Dance of the Sailor's Sweetheart," the sailor being enacted by Joe Horn, and his sweetheart by Helen Frazer.
