Frosh to Attend Camp N · e xt Fall More than 300 freshmen entering the University of Illinois in September will be accommodated at the fourth annual Freshman camp which is held yearly at Camp Seymour preceding freshman registration days' it was announced at Champaign this week. Because of the rapid growth of the camp in the last three years, plans are going forward to hold two camps of three days each in order to care ·for additional numbers of freshmen who otherwise would be unable to attend. Applications will be received throughout the summer by the University Y. M. C. A., under who3e auspices the camp is held. Deans, promine·nt faculty members and student leaders on the Illinois campus will be present to discuss all the problems of university life with the incoming ·.students. Dean Thomas Arkle Clark, whose talks have proved so valuable in other years, will be on hand this year to tell the new men how to get the most out of their college life. Last year, 194 freshmen were accepted, which was fifty more than . can be conveniently accommodated. The committee in charge this year is composed of Prof. C. L. Metcalf, Harry E. Schlenz, Chicago; Paul Brines, RU'shville; and Fred Rutherford, Rockford. Camp Seymour is on a spring-fed lake and is one of the best equipped camps in Illinois, affording unusual opportunities for recreation and other forms of camp life. ·Mrs. John P. Booth, 521 Si~th street, has as her guest this week, her daughter, Mrs. Fred E. Hagen of Evanston, who is with her while Mr. Hagen is on a business trip in tne East.
