Monday night, April 15, Evanston Lodge No. 673, I. 0. 0. F., is to e_ntertain the North Shore Fraternal ctrcuit and the Ninth District association at an open meeting in the Odd Fellows Temple at 1569 Maple avenue, Evanston. All Odd Fellows from all the lodges in these districts, and from other districts as well, are expected to turn out on this special occasion and bring prospective candidates. Evanston lodge is planning a special program of entertainment for · the evening. The Rev. 0. F. Jordan, grand chaplain, will be the principal speaker. Members of A. T. Sherman Lodge No. 892, of Wilmette, are planning to be present in large numbers. Thirteen lodges are comprised in the two circuits, three of which are members of both circuits. TO GIVE WELFARE TEA Cards have been issued for a tea on Monday, April 15. at the Kenilworth Assembly hall. by the Infant Welfare committee of Kenilworth. Miss Sarah Place and Mrs. Philip D. Armour will 5peak and Miss Isabel Cline will sing. Tea will be served at 3 o'clock. At the regular meeting last Tuesday evening at the Howard school the banner was presented to th_e Senior patrol leader of the troop by K. D. King, president of the North Shore Area council, who gave the boys a splendid talk. ·Troop 10 was the, first troop to receive one of the five awards that the council is offering to the troopt3 who arc first in meeting the requirements. Each member of this troop subscribed for Boys' Life, the Scout magazine, which entitled them to this trophy. There are eighteen boys in the troop. Francis Ryan is their Scout leader and Irving Heller, assistant Scout leader. Edward Petry, A. C. ·Pearson Jr., Philip Hoffman, Lowell F. Todd and Dr. D. W. Rapp comprise the Troop committee. The troop is sponsored by the Optimist club of Wilmette and meets regularly each week at the Howard school.
