The occasion will mark the termination of the third year of organized recreation in the village a·3 shown on the records of the Playground and Recreation board whic·h ends its fiscal year May 1. Members of the original Recreation board, who were appointed by Village President Earl E. Orner, to introduce community playground and recreation ·activities for Wilmette, will be honor guests, as will also President Orner. The original board member3 were: Enoch Steen, Henry Fowler, J. C. Capen, Ira L. Reynolds, John Steffens, and Mrs. Jay R. Brown. J. R. Harper, superintendent of public schools, who also played an important part in hringing organized recreation to the village, will be present and will give an address. Members of the present board, including H. A. LaRoy, Lincoln C. Torrey, Henry Fowler, Mrs. Jay R. BrowP and Miles C. McDonald, anrf Director of Recreation Daniel M. Davi·s, will be hosts to the former board members. Invitations are issued to every par- - bers of the clubs and organizations sponsored by the board, to the member3 of the recreation council and the members -of the teams which they represent. Each person will be allowed to bring one guest but reservations must be made by 5 o'.clock, Monday evening, April 8, at the recreation office, Tenth street and Central avenue, telephone 468.
