Be Held at St. George'· Friday The annual benefit project of the St. Francis' Hospital foundation, a card party, will be held this evening at 8 at St. George's high school in the gymnasium. The affair is being planned on a large scale and tables will be set up for between 1,000 and 1,500 players. Proceeds of the card party will go toward paying off the pledge which ·t he foundation made to the furnishing of the emergency ward. About $1,500 is still Jacking on the pledge, and it is hoped to raise a large part of this by this party. Mrs. Frank Jones, president, is general chairman and has as her cl)ief assistants Mrs. A. ]. Smith, house chairman· Mrs. John Boylston and Mrs. Napo]eon Picard, in charge of prizes; Mrs. N. P. ~nderson, treasur~r. Refreshments wtll be served w1th Fred Eldred in charge assisted by several nurses and the Misses Shirley Caldwell, Eileen Axman, Merce~es Watts, Alice, Alma, Frances and Prtscilla 1ones.
