Easter Sunday was of course the banner day, but some of the other services were indicative of the interest which is being shown by our people and their friends. The Holy Communion on Thursday evening was the ~econd largest in the history of the mission. Even then there were several of our members who were unable to 1 be present. Sunday, April 14, is Victory Sunday. Dr. A. C. Hageman of Philadelphia, Pa., will preach at the morning service. There will also be an eYening service at 8 o'clock. This will be a Praise service. The canvassers will report at this service. A men's loyalty dinner will be served by the ladies of the church Monday evening at 6 :30 o'clock. Invitations have been mailed by the chairman of the Men'S' Dinner committee. About two hundred men will receive invitations. Dr. A. C. Hageman will be the speaker of the evening-. A women's loyalty dinner will be served by the men of the church Wednesday evening at ,6:30 o'clock. Invita- E t.ions will be mailed to about as many I ~ women. We are anxious to see which group will make the best showing. The women are determined to have the largest turnout. It will be interesting to see .which will outnumber the other. Architect George H. If nothing happens to disturb our present plans, ground will be broken for the new church on the !ast Sunday in April or the first Sunday m May. Our plans have been approved by the . Last Sunday the Sunday school had a most interesting program. In spite of the inclement weather the att~ndance was large. All the exercises were appropri~te and inspiring. Mr. Ben·ham was with us and talked on "The Message of the Flowers." The offering was taken for the "Tiny " Tim Bed," at the Women's and Children's hospital, amounting thus far to $102. A valuable wrist watch was given to Mr. Willard T. Carter, who leaves us to take up his new work for the Hartford Seminary Foundation. The service closed with the presentation of the flowers to eaoh member of the ~chool. At the regular church service the floral decorations were especially beautiful. At the reception of new members, Phyllis Bosley was baptized, and Agnes Fraser. Gertrude Matthews, anrl Barbara Mearns also united with the church, the latter with a letter from the Irving Park Presbyterian oour·c h. 'fhe Ladies' Guild has concluded its work for the season.
