Both Howard teams were full for once but of no use. VIEW SLIDES February 1, Mrs. Groves, our 6B Howard geography teacher, gave us a test. Everyone in the room had to recite on South America and we all were interested. Mrs. Groves promised if we did it well she would show us some slides on South America and we all did. On Monday, February 4, we saw the slides and likep them very much.-Fern Ahlstrand, 6B Howard. ADVERTISE GARDEN CLUB The eighth grades of Howard school began their art posters last Monday. All posters are to advertise the Wilmette Garden club. The posters seem to be coming along fine and we all hope Howard school will be able to win the prize for the best poster.-Betty Paddock, 8A · Howard. OUT AFTER SHIELD Howard 7A boys have hopes to win the basketball shield for the second teams. We have won two games with St. Joseph and Stolp 7B. We consider ourselves good as the first team, which we are. We have it all planned to win the shield. If we are conceited we shall soon find it out. Our next game is with Howard 7B. -Bob Hermanson, Howard 7A. SUBSTITUTE TEACHER The 7B teacher of the Byron Stolp school, Miss Perring, is out of school and Miss Mangle is taking ('barge of the room.
