January 18, 1929 ' Home and Garden Club Elects New Officers Marionettes Come to Wilmette Next Monday and Tuesday The Tatterman Marionettes, remembered for their presentation of "Jack and the Beanstalk" and other sketches in Wilmette last year, will appear here again next Monday and Tuesday. This year the marionettes will pre sent "Aladdin and the Wonderfd Lamp." They will give two perform-. ances at the Howard school Monday afternoon, the first at 1 :15 o'clock for pupils of the Logan school and th~ tower grades at Howard, and the second at 2 :30 o'clock for upper grade pupils of the Howard building. The marionettes wi11 be at the Stolp school Tuesday, where they will also give two performances. A small admission will be charged. Teacher of Voice Seniors Maintain Cage Honors at Mallinckrodt The tie game of basketball between the seniors and the juniors of Mallinckrodt High school, which had been pending since December 11, was decided Friday afternoon. In view of the fact that the seniors felt they could not afford to have the cup taken from them after having held it for two years, they put forth a stronger effort than ever before. They showed that their skill at basketball had not entirely vanished. The score was 28 to 19 in favor of the seniors. Last 'vVednesday the sophomores challenged the freshmen. Although the freshmen are creeping up slowly in athletics, and they promise to hold the Mallinckrodt record in due time, they found it rather difficult to outdo the sophomore team.
