M. Cozzens, general chairman of the campaign here. The campaign was started Thanksgiving day and will continue until Christmas, Mrs. Cozzens announced. The reports from the public schools are practically complete, but the parochial schools will not be heard from until next · week. The assistants are: Mrs. John Hoffman and Mrs. William Flynn at St. Joseph's school, Mrs. A. L. Grinnell at the Avoca road school, Miss Engles at District 37, Mrs. E. ]. Hoffman and Mrs. F. G. Stecker at Howard school, Mrs. D. H. Maxwell at Logan, Mrs. Walter Miller at St. Francis, and Mrs. F. Z. Favor, working with Mrs. Cozzens at the Central and Laurel schools. Aid Health Center Arthur J. Taylor, a resident of Witmette for more than twenty years, ha; been nomina.ted to take the place of the late Leslie F. Gates on the New Trier High School Board of Education. Mr. Gates' successor will be chosen at a special election to be held tomorro\v. Mr. Taylor is a director of the Wilmette State bank and has two sons who are New Trier graduates. Teachers' Club to Hold Xmas Fete Next Monday The annual Christmas dinner of the Wilmette Teachers' club will be held Monday evening, December 17, at the Howard school at 6:30 o'clock. Mrs. Stella C. Maher is general chairman in charge of arrangements for the event. Miss Laura Flentye will be responsible for the table decorations. Members of the Wilmette Board of Education have been invited to the dinner this year, and a total of between seventy-five and eighty guests are expected. There will be a Christmas tree and a Santa Claus, and everyone will bring gifts. Mrs. Agnes Clark, eighth grade teacher at the Stolp school, will lead in the singing of Christmas carols. Postpone Annual Xmas Program at New Trier The annual Christmas program of the New Trier High school choruses, glee clubs, and orchestra, qnnounced for this Sunday afternoon, December 16, ha.; been postponed indefinitely. The postponement was made necessary by the large numl~r of absences at the high school due to colds and mild attacks of influenza.
