SCOUTS BOOST Fifteen north shore scouts, accompanied by Scoutmaster Mark Andrews of Deerfield, journeyed to Joliet recently to help the North Shore Real Estate board boost the north shore. The group was made up of eleven Deerfield Scouts and four Glencoe Scouts, drummers, buglers and standard bearers who led the north shore section of the parade. Following the parade, the group was invited to the Louis Joliet hotel. where a banquet was served. They made the trip in busses and had a great time. HONOR TEDDT ROOSEVELT October 27 is Roosevelt Day, North Shore troops are planning to report at the Cabin-in-the-Woods, west of Glencoe at 10 o'clock this Saturday morning to plant trees in memory of Theodore Roosevelt. Conservatio~ is an Important part of Boy Scout work. JOIN HIGHLAND l,ARK TROOP We had a good meeting last week in charge of Assistant Scoutmaster DeBerard. Troop Committeemen Rumbaugh and Fosbender were present. We organized Signal and knot tying teams and practiced drills. , Earl Sanderhoff and Leonard Prentice have joined our Trop, -Neal H. Rumbaugh, Scribe. NEW TROOP LEADER Troop 12, which meets every Friday evening at the Club Vista del Lago, Is carrying on a strong program under the leadership of Assistant Scoutmaster Robert Wilkins, who was recently appointed by the troop committee.
