October 12, 1928 WILMETTE LIFB President·s Band Will Give Concert. 0 r V et erans , p OSt 1 President Coolidge's own band, the one that plays at official Washington functions and aboard the "Mayflower" whenever the nation's Executive spends a week-end afloat, is to be in Chicago for one day-Saturday, October 13. Under leadership of Lieut. Charles Renter, former bandleader of the USS Connecticut, the U. S. Navy band will appear at the Auditorium for two concerts, afternoon and evening under ai.tspice.s of Quentin. Roosevelt' Chapter, Dtsabled Amencan Veterans of the World War. The chapter plans to handle one musical affair each month, with the Navy band appearance as the first concert.
