Nelson in Hospital After Accident Sunday Alfred K. Nelson of 1322 Wilmette avenue is in the Evanston hospital as a result of serious injuries incurred when he was struck by a car near Glenview about 6:30 o'clock Sunday night as he walked toward a farmhouse to get gasoline for his car which had stalled on the ·road. Mr. Nelson was knocked down and remained unconscious until Wednesday, when he again recognized his wife and other relatives. According to the statement of Mrs. Nelson, who stayed where the Nelson car was stalled while her husband went to get gas, the car which struck him speeded away, and the· accident was not known until reported to Glenview police by occupants of another ~ar who had stopped to fix the spotlight on their machine and who accidentally flashed it on Mr. Nelson. Mr. Nelson's brother, Dr. Lawrence Nelson, of Salina, Kan., arrived here this week and is consulting physician in the case. The injured man's condition was reported impr()ved.
