WILMETTE LIFE· August 17, l928 Christian Science Churches RosENBERGs DoVts Street- Downtown IWn~ton .-------------------------------~--------------· Mail Application Blanks Soon for Illini Grid Games Anxious to make the path of the football fan to the Indiana, Northwestern, and Ohio State games in the U ni- . versity of Illinois stadium this fall as easy as possible, the football ticket office is preparing to mail out 50,000 application blanks and information leaflets, not only to interested alumni but to thousands of other fans. No applications will be received until this material 'is mailed out which will be the latter part of August. This information will also be sent to banks which find that their patrons appreciate having it available, and to sports editors, whose friends often ask them how to book seats for the big games at Illinois. The office on request will place any name on its permanent mailing list to receive. thi.material annually, but if blanks are not available an ordinary letter will suffice. The Illini managers estimate that at least 30,000 tickets for each big game here are available for the "general public," that is, persons other .than alumni and students. Just as soon as application blanks are issued this month, anyone may order for the big games and there is no restriction on the numher which will be sent to one applicant. General public orders will be filled beginning September 12 in the order in which they have been received, which puts a premium _on early action by fans who are ch01cy about their seC!} locations. . CLEARANCE 75 Summer Frocks "Soul" was the ·subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, Sunday, August 12. 1 The golden text was from Isaiah 61 :10, "I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shaJl be joyful in my God." Among the citations which comprised I the lesson-sermon was the following , from the Bible: "0 God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where · no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee" (Psalms 63 :1-3). The lesson-sermon also included the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "The evidence of the existence· of Spirit, Soul, is palable only to 3piritual sense, and is not apparent to the material senses, which cognize only that which is the opposite of Spirit" (p. 359).
