W. ,Griffith's next production, "The Love Song." Lowell Sherman is another recent addition to the cast, and J etta Goudal is to play the role of a Parisian adventuress. "The Love Song" is an original story, written directly for the screen by Dr. Karl Vollmoeller, author of the book, "The Miracle." It is a tale of the Paris of Napoleon III. YOUNGEST DIRECTOR Ralph Reader, who staged the dances in "The Greenwich Village Follies " which will be presented at the Fo~r Cohans Grand Opera house beginning July 29, is probably the youngest professional director in America, if not in the world. Mr. Reader will be 23 on his next birthday. Despite his extreme youth, he has had fifteen years of stage experience. ·Lon Chaney Picture at Varsity Thia Saturday . For those to whom Lon Chaney is the actor of all actors the Varsity theatre in Evanston is offering "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" this Saturday, July 28. It is one of Chaney's most popular starring vehicles. Colleen Moore and Edmund Lowe will be seen in "Happiness Ahead" at the Varsity for three days next week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This picture, says one critic, "definitely places Colleen Moore in the ranks of the best screen players." The story is that of the cunning child become a woman-and a very lovely and appealing one. The supporting cast is excellent. The picture has been perfectly staged and directed. For Thursday and Friday of next week the Varsity has booked "The Big Killing," in which Raymond Hatton and Wallace Beery, that famous starring combination, will again do their stuff.
