Everyone who dared the weather enjoyed himself. Many say it Is "the best ever." We are glad that it was an enjoyable time for those who were there. We regret that more did not come. However the crowd was good, the program was fine, and the fellow~hip was great. We have set a precedent for the years to come, "bigger and better" every year. The Luther league ·will meet at the church Friday evening after the ball game. The last meeting was an exceptionally good one. There were seventeen young people present and there was ice cream for several more. The seventeen managed to take care of the entireamount. · Sunday, August 5, is the day of the great mass meeting of Lutherans at Long Lake, Ill. There will be no morning service at our church that day and the autos will leave for Long Lake immediately after the Sunday school service. Members and friends of the congregation are invited to make this a gala day. Bring your baskets well filled and if you haye no way of going call 4279 and the pastor will arrange to have someone take you in his car.
