Bring Sousa · Coach · Robinson Opens S u m mer Classes in Swimmin1, Life SaviDI Another crop of 'north shore children and adults will learn swimming this summer under the tutelage of Tom Robinson, Northwe5tern's nation~ ally known swimming ·coach, whose summer classes at the university gymnasium opened Monday. A seven weeks' term ending in ap. exhibition Aug. 11, will be held. As he has done for many years Coach Tom is conducting classes for beginners of all ages and advanced clas5es for those who want tank swimming during the summer. Life saving instruction is given in certain of the classes, which are a special concern of Tom's. He has taught many hundreds of people life saving and the records he has kept of the rescues these pupils have made testify to the thoroughness of his job. Classes are held daily from 9 a. m. to late afternoon . Besides the advanced and beginning classes for boys and girls, some of th~ feature in struction periods are: met:t beginners, which are held 5 p. m. Tuesdays and Fridays ; a mothers' and children 's clas s Wednesday s and Saturdays at 11 :15 a. m. and Tuesdays and Fridays at 2 p. ·m.; and the life saving.
