Bathing Beach to' Have Its Official Opening Saturda} Wilmette's bathing beach at Washington park will be op~n . to the public this Saturday, accordmg to an announcement by the management. James A. Wrenshaw, of Chicago, who has bJ een beachmaster fo·r several years in Wilmette, will again supervise the beach. Mrs . .c. W. Hilton will serve as matron. A new floor has been laid in the beach house and 200 more checking rooms have been provided for Wilmette bathers. Kenilworth's beach is also schedulrd to open in the near future: Saturday, June 23, is the date tentatively set for the opening. Jack Boyle, playg1"ound supervisor, will be in charge. . Murray Leads Way in Realty Golf Match In the North Shore Real Estate board tournament at the Glencoe Golf course, Thursday, June 7, the following net scores were turned in by those entering the blind bogey contest, won by A. A. Murray: F. W. Russo, 78; A. A. Murray, 82; H. H. Brown, 86; ]. D. Austin, 75; ]. M. Budinger, 89; Arthur C. F. Gedge, 8i; Harold D. Hill, 78; A. R. Tighe, 78 ; L. S. Roth, 88. In the match between J. D. Au stin, who challenged A. R. Tighe for his position on the second team, Austi~, according to his opponent, by hts "superb" playing, won 3 and 2. And Mr. Tighe adds, "the rest of the members should be warned to concede any match entered into with this deadly shooter." The next tournament will also be at the Glencoe Golf course, Thursday, June 21. The sports committee is desirous of having all the golf playing members of the North Shore Real Estate board participate in these very enjoyable afternoons which it is planned to hold once every two weeks throughout the playing sea~on. This camp is attended hy approximately 400 young people from the state of Illinois who are leaders in the Congregational churches of the state. A week is snent in recreation and program-making under the leadership of the outstanding pre'a chers and laymen of the denomination. Rev. William E. McCormack, associate mini·ster of the Congregational churc,h, is to attend thi" year, with a group from Wilmette composed of Philip Brooks, Faith Rurg-e. Theodore Delan!l. Robert KinQ', Daniel Lanning, and Bettv Webber. Miss Bertha C. Wheelock is to be an imtructor in the "Art of Storv Te.llinP"" and "Methods in the Primar~' Department" at the conference.
