A class of thirty-nin.: eighth grade pupils will receive diplomas. The program will be as follows : The largest graduating class in 'the history of New Trier high school will receive diplomas at t'he graduation exercises of the school next Thursda y evening, June 14. The final list graduates has not been made · out, but about 320 will receive diplomas, it is stated. This year's commencement exercises wilt be held in the new gymnasium a t New Trier for the first time. The door :-, will open at 7:30, and reserved scat s on the main floor which are not occu pied by 8 o'clock will be re-sold. Dr. Fred Eastman, of the Chica)..! o Theological Seminary, is the commencement speaker. His subject will he "The Crowd and You." The student musical organizat; · ., \\·ill have a part in this year's program. This is a departure from the custom which has heen followed in the past. Another change from the plan fol lowed · in previous years is the openin g up of the balconies to the public. General admission tickets will be sold for the balcony, but there will he no re served seats as on the main floor. High School Music Clubs Hold Parents' Evening Parents' night wa·s observed hy the Senior and Junior music clubs of New Trier ·high school this week at their last meetings for the present term 0f school. It is the custom each year for the music students to invite their parents to the final meeting. C 24 · Fire Chief Zibble Heads Wilmette's Arson Squad Representatives of the State Fire Marshal's office and the National Board of Underwriters were in 'Vilmette late last week to organize Wilmette's first Arson squad comprised of Fire Chief Walter Zibble, Capt. Henry Brautigam of the Wilmette police, and A. C. VVolff, local hardware dealer. The squad is authorized to work with the state fire marshal in probing suspected incendiarism in connection with fires in the village. Representing the state fire marshal in organizing the Arson squad was P. E. Bertram, while I. B. Cylar was the special agent for the underwriters.
