Buehler · Moose Session Speaker The Fortieth International convention of the Loyal Order of Moose will be launched with a civic meeting , at the Auditorium theater, Chicago, Sunday evening, June 3, at 8 o'clock. rt will mark the opening Qf a week of activities, in which delegates from every quarter of th~ globe will take part. James J. Davis, Secretary of Labor, will deliver the keynote address at the Civic meeting, to which the public is invited. The program also includes addresses by the Rev. John Laffey, Rev. Charles Daniel Payne, Dr. William E. Buehler, of Glencoe, Mayor William H. Thompson, Mayor William F. Broening of Baltimore, Rufus C. D~wes, Edward J. Henning, and W. Le~ Provol. Entertainment will be supplied by Madam Marie Sidenius Zendt, of Wilm~tte, operatic soprano, and Master Henry Swengber, a student of the M t. Carmel High school.. Delegat~s will be entertained in the Hotel Sherman ballroom June 5 and 6. A class of 2,500 new M.oo~e will be initiated there on June 8. The conferences of the convention will be held at Mooseheart, Illinois, from June 3 to 6, inclusive, with special daily train service. ~ ~ "' ~ ~ E E Insure With the Church ~ ~:; ~ ,.. Mallinckrodt Students Awarded School Letter ~ Announcement is made of the award of the coveted "M" at Mallinckrodt High school. The letters were given tl~ose who competed successfully in five of the seven events which were held in the school gymnasium one week ago. The Jetter winners were : Maty Lynch, Olga Schmidt, Helen Sykora, Elizabeth Faber, Betty Spillane, Dorothy Smith (Junior), Catherine Ralph, Dorothy Smith (Freshman), Marcella Kummer, Helen Spillane, Geraldine W cber, Mary Jane Seng, Helen Deinlein, and Dorothy Braun. At the assembly when the awards were made, Sister Albertus, principal of Mallinckrodt, presented silver basketballs and Mallinckrodt school pins to those who played on the team which defeated Josephinum academy of Chicago last March. Those receiving the trophies were Mary Jane Sen g. Rita \Veber, Dorothv Smith. Helen Spillane, Geraldine \V cber and Helen Bent. Th trophies were giveP by Mrs. \V. P. Mrs. Weckler taught for two seasons at ·the Guilmette Country club and then discontinued her classes to accept the offer of the Parent-Teacher association for which she has taught for the past five years. She will reopen her own classes in October at the Wilmette \Voman's club. Announcement is made of the arrival of a baby daughter in the home of Mr. at:d Mrs. John Valentine Lizars of 7419 North Robey street, Chicago. Mrs. Lizars is a former resident of Wilmette, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Mahonev of 108 Gerard street.
