LIFE With this issue WILMETTE L1n introduces a permanent weekly feature provided exclusively by the pupils in the Wilmette schools. It is entitled "JuNIOR Ltm' and is sponsored by the Wilmette Playground and Recreation board as a venture in journalism and a distinct phase of the playground and recreation activity supervised by the board. The various school faculties are lending their enthusiastic cooperation in this enterprise. It is the ·hppe of the Recreation board that every child in the public and p a r .o c h i a I schools in the village will take an active interest . in JUNIOR LIFE. Dudley C. Stone, assistant to Daniel M. Davis, Wilmette director of recreation, is giving his personal attention to JUNIOR LIFE and will be pleased tD explain details to the children. The destiny of JuNIOR LIFE rests with the children. Aside from its function of telling the news of the schools and recreation activities, it should serve to give those who take an active part in the work a kl¥)wledge of the fundamentals of news writing. It is the first step in journalism and should be of invaluable aid to those children who later will be contributing to or editing high school and college publications. H orDartl Girla Glee Clab ;,.
