Colledge Church Leader Here, Taken by Death in Sumnzon'e d by Dle ath Florida, January 9 Dr. William A. ·Colledge, educational director of the Redpath Lyceum bureau and formerly pastor of the Kenilworth Union church, head of the department . of English at Armour institute. died Sunday at Jacksonville, Fla. Funeral services held at Jacksonville this week. He assumed the chair of English at Armour institute m 1904. Previously he had been an extension lecturer at the University of Chicago. He left educational work to enter the ministry and for several years held pastorates at Aurora and Kenilworth. Dr. Colledge was born in Edinburgh, Scotland m 1859. He \vas· a member of the Stanley expedition into Africa to rescue Dr. Living~ ton. He was editor in chief of the ~ev..- Standard Encyclopedia in 1906 and the first editor of the Technical \,Y orld ·magazine. He was the author of many books, a noted lecturer 111 chautauqua work and vice president and director of La Salle Extension university. His widow, Mrs. Frances ::VL Colledge, and one son, Ed ward, of Jacksonville, Fla., survive. Robert King Brown, for nearly forty vears a. resident of the north shore and for eighteen years a resident of Wilmette passed away at his home, 1125 Forest avenue, Monday, January 10. H'uneral ~ervic-es were held from the home at 2 o'clock Thursday, the Rev. George P. Magill of the Wilmette Presbvterian church officiating. Burial was tltade at the Rosehill cemetery. r.
